Confidence................

I lack confidnce when it comes to my art,Tassel Making. Not in the process but the unveiling of my work. Will people like my work? Will people like it enough to buy it? I did the Portland Saturday Market for one year back in 2003-4. People liked them. But will people like them enough again to buy them? Do I really want to put myself out there? Time, energy, money,would have to be spent. Not a one shot deal either. This is a commitment. To myself & to my customers. Do I really want to do this? Ohhhhhh! YES! YES! YEEEEESSS!!
It is my joy! My soul! My being! My bliss!
The thought of tassels is always there. How do I work out this design or that design. I just saw something that inspired me, darn it! I don't have anything to write down my idea. Oh I hope I remember this until I get home.
I woke up from a dream, dreaming the solution to a design I was working on. I had to get up to see if it works! My kids say I am possesed! "By what?" I ask. They would roll their eyes.
I am overflowing out & over & under. I am BUSTING OUT!! It can not be contained. So when I put my tassels out there for you to see....well....I just can't help! It's me just busting out. And its ok.

Here are some new creations.....

There are two ways I start creating tassels. Planned & not planned. Client requests are always exciting because they challenge me to please the client. That is all important. I take into account everything.... personality, decor, budget, likes & dislikes and how the client inspires me. When the client smiles, seeing the final creation.. thats why I do what I do!
Then, there are the ideas that come to me in a dream or inspiration from nature,colors, fabrics, magazines, going to the bead shows (a very dangerous place indeed). Anywhere & everywhere. It's all around me!

It's Christmas

Happy Holidays Everyone! It sure has been a long time since I posted. Heart problem, depression has gotten in the way of life. Some awful experiences with friends who I thought were friends...ended up being not. I was and am still stunned by the experience.
My tassels have again saved me. Here are a few of my new creations.
I hope to place my tassels in two new shops here in Portland. I am now
retired and this has allowed me to spend more time doing what I love.

It's been awhile......

Thank you for visiting Tassel Talk. Its been awhile. I got side tracked from my passion due to illness. Breast Cancer was my beast that I slayed and am now recovering from. My passion for tassels is still alive and well, with a renewed commitment. "The Wedding Tassel TM " Will be getting more of my attention. All this time my passion for tassels has not been far from my thoughts. I still dream about tassels. I am excited about new ideas and new concepts I have developed. I will be letting you know about whats going on and posting more often.
I don't know about you but experiencing a life altering illness has put a new perspective in how I want to spend the rest of my life. Being with the people I love and creating is at the top of the list. These both are as necessary as breathing.
I will soon have pictures for you. I have been working on some glorious tassels that I am excited to share.!! So see you soon and thank you for stopping by.

Bringing back Tassels in the Talk

Its time to change the subject back to "tassels". Maybe the meds are working and I have stopped feeling sorry for myself. A little of both maybe. Anywho..........I feel like I want/need to have color and brightness and laughter and kindness and hope and creativity and friends and jokes and food fights back in my life! I miss them.
So this site is dedicated to Happiness, good friends and my Bliss "tassels". I'm taking my life back!
